This recipe was submitted by Tonya Duvall. It is a recipe from Doug Duvall’s grandmother, Dori Duvall. Wonderful!!
1 c. brown sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 egg, well beaten
½ c. flour
¼ t. salt
¼ t. soda
1 c. walnuts, chopped
In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, vanilla, and egg together (without a mixer). Sift together flour, salt, soda and stir in to sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts. Bake in 8x8 inch greased metal pan. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Cut into 16 squares. Serve warm.
